Supporting children with Autism who are at home during the school closure.

The sudden changes to routines and daily life can be especially challenging for children with additional needs such as autism. Changes in your child’s behaviour may be underpinned by increased anxiety and stress.  While every child with autism has individual needs, here are some general things to consider.

Supporting children with anxiety who are at home during school closure.

Many people – both adults and children – are likely to be experiencing increased levels of anxiety at the moment, and that is entirely normal. If a child was already susceptible to high levels of anxiety, then they may be finding this time particularly challenging. If you are checking in with a parent –carer who is at home with a child experiencing anxiety, the following may be useful:

Supporting children with ADHD who are at home during school closure.

Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) experience hyperactivity, impulsivity, and poor attention. Staying at home all day with a child with ADHD is likely to be especially stressful. If the following may be useful:
